M.Sc NURSING
M.Sc Nursing is a Post Graduate Degree Course offered by University of Jammu. The
duration of the course is 02 years.
Eligibility
- 1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent
with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- 2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc
Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- 3. The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Hons. Nursing / Post
Basic B.Sc Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- 4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- 5. Sex: Male/Female
- 6. Candidate shall be medically fit.
- 7. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
- 8. The candidate should possess good health, mental and moral character.
Documents to be submitted
- 1. All qualification’s original certificates with 2 set of photosate copies.
- 2. Registration certificate of the State Nursing Council.
- 3. Certificates of Higher Education if any.
- 4. State Domicile / Nationality Certificate.
- 5. Caste Certificate should be submitted if SC / ST.
- 6. Twelve passport size photographs.
- 7. Transfer Certificate & migration certificate (for candidates who have completed
their qualifying examination under university outside Jammu University).
- 8. Conduct Certificate.
- 9. Health fitness Certificate
Selection forAdmission
Total number of M.Sc. (N) seats are yet to be approved. All the admissions will be made
through counseling conducted by BOPEE - Board of Professional Entrance Examinations.
JOINING TIME OF CANDIDATES
The selected candidates of all courses must join their respective courses on the date
communicated to them at the time of their selection in the admission letters. The
selection of those who fail to join within the stipulated date shall be automatically
stand cancelled.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Medical fitness examination will be pre-condition for admission to any course of the
college. Selected candidates are examined by the constituted medical board. The
candidates will be disqualified if found medically unfit. Periodical Health Check Up is
conducted in the college to ensure the good and safe health of the students.
FOREIGN CANDIDATES
Candidates who belong to foreign countries are required to route their application
through Govt. of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with an advance copy
submitted to the office of the college at Jammu. They are also required to appear in the
Entrance Test.
