ABOUT COURSE

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (P.B.B.Sc) is a Degree Course offered by the University of Jammu. The duration of the course is 2 years. The program is designed for diploma-holding registered nurses to upgrade their knowledge and skills to meet the demands of professional nursing practice.

ELIGIBILITY

• The candidate must hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
• The candidate must be a Registered Nurse and Midwife (RNRM).
• Gender: Male/Female
• Should have passed 10+2 in Arts/Science/Commerce from JKBOSE or any equivalent board recognized by the University of Jammu.
• Should possess a working knowledge of English.
• The candidate must be medically fit and have a good personal and professional record.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

• All GNM-related original certificates
• Registration Certificate from the State Nursing Council
• 10th and 12th original certificates with 2 sets of Photostat copies
• Certificates of Higher Education (if any)
• State Domicile / Nationality Certificate
• Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST candidates)
• 12 Passport size photographs
• Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate (for candidates from universities outside Jammu University)
• Conduct Certificate
• Health Fitness Certificate

SELECTION FOR ADMISSION

Total number of P.B.B.Sc Nursing seats is 80. All admissions are made through an entrance examination conducted by the J&K Board of Professional Examination (BOPEE), except for Management Seats.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

The examinations, both theory and practical, are conducted annually by the University of Jammu. Two internal examinations (theory and practical) are also conducted by the college to support student progress. Unit tests are held regularly.

FEE STRUCTURE FOR POST BASIC B.Sc NURSING

• Examination, Eligibility (if applicable), Hostel, Transport, and other Certification fees are charged separately.
• Any other fee applicable but not mentioned above shall also be charged.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Please obtain a proper cash receipt after payment of the fee.
• Fees paid without a receipt will not be entertained later on.
