ABOUT COURSE

Medical Assistant / Pharmacist is a Diploma Course offered by the J&K Nursing and Paramedical Council. The duration of the course is 2 years. The program is designed to train individuals in basic medical procedures, patient care, and dispensing medications to assist doctors and pharmacists in clinical and community settings.

ELIGIBILITY

• Age Limit: The candidate must have completed 17 years and should not be more than 35 years as on 1st January of the admission year.
• Gender: Male/Female
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Should have passed the 10+2 examination with any stream conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education or any other recognized equivalent examination.
  • Should have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40% for SC/ST candidates).
• The candidate should be in good health and possess sound mental and moral character.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

• Original 10th and 12th certificates with 2 sets of Xerox copies
• State Domicile / Nationality Certificate
• Caste Certificate (for SC/ST candidates)
• 12 Passport size photographs
• Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate (for candidates from outside J&K State Board)
• Conduct Certificate
• Health Fitness Certificate

SELECTION FOR ADMISSION

Total number of Medical Assistant seats is 30. All admissions are made through an entrance examination conducted by the J&K Board of Professional Examination (BOPEE), except for Management Seats.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

The examinations, both theory and practical, are conducted annually by the J&K State Paramedical Council. Internal theory and practical examinations are also conducted by the college to monitor and support student progress.

FEE STRUCTURE FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• Examination, Hostel, Transport, and other Certification fees are charged separately.
• Any other applicable fees not mentioned above shall also be charged.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Please ensure you collect a proper cash receipt after paying the fee.
• Fees paid without a receipt will not be entertained later.
